The ICRC operates on the wounded

In many war-torn regions, the International Committee of the Red Cross  (ICRC) comes to the aid of victims requiring medical care and mobility support measures.  The MINE-EX Foundation of Rotary CH/FL is concentrating its help on the population of  Cambodia.

 

Most of the victims are civilians  

An agreement with the ICRC guarantees that the total amount of all the funds collected will reach the prosthetic component factory of Bangtrabek, near  Phnom Penh. 

The Bangtrabek factory provides free prosthetic components to 11 orthopedic centers in Cambodia, Centers that are supported by 4 humanitarian organizations.

The prosthetic component factory is in a building built by the Swiss Humanitarian Aid Unit.

The ICRC is in charge of the technical supervision and administration in   Cambodia and makes sure that the funds are used effectively for the aims intended.

The components are delivered to the 11 orthopedic centers in the country. It is in these centers that the preparation and individual adjustment of each.  

More than 36,000 mine victims have benefited from free aid.  We would like this to continue in the future.  We are conscious that the victims need aid for a long period.  Their economical situation will continue to be difficult.
